He won Gold in his division and is the WORLD CHAMPION Blue belt at his weight class.

Many of you know AJ Boon from our dojo (Gracie Barra Tampa) as an exceptionally gifted grappler.  AJ is an enthusiastic young man with great potential ahead of him- not just in Jiujitsu but in life!  In August 2007 AJ has the chance to make history.  He has the opportunity to compete and win the Blue Belt Division in the premier jiu-jitsu competition--the Mundials (World).  For the first time the Mundials will be held in the United States in Los Angeles, California.

As winner of the Pan American Adult Blue Belt Division, AJ is regarded as one of the top competitors for the World tournament.  Eduardo and many others at our academy believe he can win not only his division in the Mundials, but the Absolute Blue Belt Division.  Winning the Absolute Blue Belt Division would make AJ THE BEST BLUE BELT IN THE WORLD IN THE GI!!!!!!!. 

However- and this is where YOU come in.  AJ needs help in getting to the tournament.  Estimated costs for Travel, hotel, entry fee, food, ect is about $1000.  We are asking you to help financially in whatever way you can.  Gracie Barra Tampa has started a donation fund through Paypal to collect money for AJ.  If you can help out at all--please donate to this Paypal account by clicking on the buttons above.
